1 Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using AfriVest ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2 Eligibility

To use AfriVest, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• Successfully complete our KYC verification process

3 Account Registration & Security

You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and update your information as needed
• Keep your login credentials confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Take responsibility for all activities under your account

4 Services Provided

AfriVest provides:

• Remittance Services: Money transfer to Uganda via mobile money and bank accounts
• Investment Services: Access to real estate, treasury bonds, unit trusts, gold, and crypto investments
• Insurance Services: Cross-border insurance coverage
• Multi-Currency Wallets: Digital wallets in UGX, USD, EUR, and GBP

5 Fees and Charges

Fees may include:

• Transfer fees (typically 1–3% of transaction amount)
• Currency conversion fees
• Investment management fees
• Withdrawal fees
• P2P transfers between AfriVest users are free

We reserve the right to modify our fees with 30 days' notice to users.

6 Investment Risks

7 KYC and AML Compliance

You agree to:

• Provide valid identification documents
• Cooperate with our verification processes
• Declare the source of your funds
• Comply with anti-money laundering regulations

8 Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for illegal activities
• Engage in money laundering or terrorist financing
• Provide false or misleading information
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Reverse engineer or copy our software
• Use the Platform to harm others or our reputation

9 Account Suspension & Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if:

• You violate these Terms of Service
• We detect fraudulent or suspicious activity
• Required by law or regulatory authorities
• You provide false information

10 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability is limited to fees paid in the past 12 months
• We are not responsible for third-party services or investments
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service

11 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Uganda. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Kampala, Uganda, in accordance with Ugandan arbitration laws.

12 Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via email at least 30 days in advance. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
